Shame on me!
Shame on me! I actually forgot about this blog till a friend of mine reminded me that there are still some readers out there waiting for update =P I curse you, my unreliable memory! Speaking of unreliable memory, I just remembered that I kinda made a promise to myself to play more of those online games that build your brain power and memory, stuff like Anagrams and whatnots ...
Hmmm ... hope I'll keep to that promise =/
Anyways, I am currently in the middle of the most hectic time of the year: The two weeks before exams. Over the next few weeks I have two programming assignmentss, one database assignment and a database project due. And my left hand has been plaing up on me (went to the doctor, told me to relax it more and showed me some excersises to do and that I should be back in a week for a checkup) Plus I have three exams coming up. I honestly don't understand why they don't get it through their heads that students always keep everything to the last minute and therefore they should atleast give us a week to study for exams ... a week is given but the assignments are due during it!
Oh someone save me the misery and just shoot me.
Ok ok enough with the whining ... I've been sketching quite alot over the past week and came up with two drawings. The first is a piece I deemed (Memories). It shows a girl on a swing, sitting alone deep in thought, remembering another world different than the one she is in now. Tried out a different approach to drawing it. Not sure what it's called, but to me it's like pieces of a puzzle being put together.
The second drawing is inspired by my favourite Linkin Park song ---> Crawling.
Particulary the verse:
Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real
I tired to do the drawing with the Yakuza tattoo art form in mind. This meant using color, which I'm just terrible at =P However, I rather like the end result. I like how the hands turned out ...
The meaning this drawing conveys is that somtimes, there are wounds that just never heal, and when they start crawling around inside you, the crawl up to the skin and change you who you are on the outside. The person in the drawing is turning into a dragon (anger). Might not make much sense ... but meh =D

I consider exams period the worst times of my life and I call it living hell.
"Memories" is really nice, I like the theme and I've seen something similar to it on your deviantart favorites, it was called 'Fairy' I believe.
The second one is really good considering it's your first attempt, and I think you've picked your colors well. It's certainly got that sense of Yakuza tattoo artform to it =)
